
COACH ERIK MICHON
Coach Erik is a former professional soccer player and an experienced coach dedicated to developing the next generation of athletes. Born and raised in the Bay Area, he grew up in Redwood Shores and played youth soccer before attending Carlmont High School, where he earned league MVP honors twice and helped his team win the 1999 CCS Championship.

Continuing his soccer career at Notre Dame de Namur University, Erik was a four-year starter, received a full-ride scholarship, and held the program’s goal-scoring record for 11 years. After college, he pursued a professional career in Norway, playing in the country’s second and third divisions before returning to the U.S. to focus on coaching.

Coaching Career & Credentials:
With over 20 years of coaching experience, Erik has worked with several clubs, including San Mateo Soccer Club, Peninsula Soccer Association, Alpine Strikers, Belmont United, and JSC JASA. In 2022, he became the Technical Director of JSC JASA in Redwood City, where he is committed to building a strong soccer community.
Erik's coaching career spans men's semi-pro, high school, youth, and futsal, with head coaching roles at San Mateo High School, Burlingame High School, and Serra High School. He also served as head coach for Harmonie S.V. (2007-2013), a men's semi-pro league team.

Whether coaching on the field or kicking the ball around with his kids, he brings the same energy, passion, and joy to the game. By staying up to date with the latest training techniques and methodologies, Erik continuously pushes his athletes to reach their full potential while balancing life as a husband and father who understands the value of fun, growth, and shared moments on the field.
